TERMS & CONDITIONS / SERVICE AGREEMENT

These Terms & Conditions govern cleaning and related services provided by Maid My Week Cleaning Service (\"Maid My Week,\" \"Company,\" \"we,\" \"us,\" or \"our\"). By approving an estimate, scheduling service, paying a deposit, providing a payment method, electronically accepting these Terms & Conditions, or allowing Maid My Week to perform services, the customer (\"Customer,\" \"you,\" or \"your\") agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Estimates and Scope of Service

Cleaning services will be performed according to the estimate, service description, or cleaning package approved by the Customer.

Estimates are based on information provided by the Customer and our reasonable expectations regarding the size, condition, and cleaning requirements of the property.

If the actual condition of the property, amount of work required, or requested services differ materially from the information used to prepare the estimate, Maid My Week may revise the price, recommend additional services, modify the scope of work, or obtain Customer approval before performing work outside the original scope.

Additional services requested by the Customer may result in additional charges. Maid My Week is not obligated to perform work materially beyond the agreed scope without additional compensation.

2. Scheduling and Arrival Windows

Appointments are scheduled using an arrival window, generally approximately one hour. We make every reasonable effort to arrive during the scheduled window, but arrival times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Traffic, weather, emergencies, unusually long prior appointments, staffing issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect arrival times. When practical, we will notify the Customer of significant delays.

3. Access to the Property

The Customer is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled appointment time. Access may be provided by the Customer, door code, lockbox, key, garage code, building personnel, smart lock, or another agreed method.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that any key, code, or access instruction provided is accurate and operational. Maid My Week will take reasonable precautions to safeguard keys and access information.

If our team cannot access the property or reasonably begin work as scheduled, the appointment may be treated as a lockout or late cancellation and the applicable fee may be charged.

4. Deposits

Most first-time cleaning appointments require a deposit equal to 20% of the estimated service price. The deposit is applied toward the final invoice.

If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, the deposit may be refunded or transferred to the rescheduled appointment.

If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, missed, or results in a lockout, the deposit may be applied toward any applicable cancellation fee.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Lockouts

We request at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, missed appointments, and lockouts may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service price.

A lockout includes any circumstance in which our team arrives as scheduled but cannot reasonably access the property or begin the scheduled work. Maid My Week may, at its discretion, waive or reduce a cancellation fee when circumstances warrant.

6. Payment and Authorization to Charge

Payment is due according to the terms stated on the Customer's estimate or invoice. Maid My Week accepts major credit and debit cards and may also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfer, or other payment methods made available through our payment system.

By providing or securely storing a payment method with Maid My Week or through our Client Hub, the Customer authorizes Maid My Week and its payment processor to maintain that payment method and charge it for completed cleaning services, approved additional services, deposits, applicable taxes, cancellation or lockout fees, and other amounts due under the Customer's approved estimate and these Terms & Conditions.

Unless otherwise stated on the estimate or invoice, payment is due upon completion of service. A Customer's dissatisfaction or request for additional work does not automatically suspend payment for services already performed. Any billing concern should be reported promptly so Maid My Week has a reasonable opportunity to review and address it.

Invoices and receipts may be delivered electronically.

7. Recurring Cleaning Services

Recurring-service pricing is based upon the agreed cleaning frequency, such as weekly, biweekly, or another scheduled interval. If significant additional time passes between scheduled cleanings, the condition of the property may require additional labor and the price may be adjusted accordingly.

Recurring appointments may occasionally need to be adjusted because of holidays, severe weather, staffing, or other scheduling circumstances. Recurring service does not guarantee a particular cleaning technician or team unless specifically agreed in writing.

8. Customer Responsibilities and Property Preparation

Customers should reasonably prepare the property so our team can work efficiently and safely. Excessive clutter, personal property, construction debris, hazardous materials, inaccessible areas, or conditions substantially different from those described when the estimate was prepared may affect our ability to complete the cleaning.

Maid My Week may decline to move items that are excessively heavy, fragile, valuable, unsafe, or likely to cause injury or property damage.

9. Conditions Materially Different From the Estimate

Estimates are based upon the information available to Maid My Week when the service is quoted, including information provided by the Customer and, when applicable, photographs or an inspection of the property.

If the property requires substantially more labor than reasonably anticipated because of excessive dirt, clutter, debris, construction dust, pet hair, neglected conditions, additional square footage, inaccessible areas, or other conditions not disclosed or reasonably apparent when the estimate was prepared, Maid My Week may modify the scope of work, recommend additional services, adjust the price, reschedule, or discontinue service.

10. Construction and Post-Construction Properties

Unless specifically quoted and agreed to as a construction or post-construction cleaning, Maid My Week's standard residential cleaning service is not intended for properties undergoing active construction, renovation, remodeling, repair, installation, or similar work.

Construction activity may continuously create dust, debris, footprints, residue, and other conditions that prevent a property from achieving or maintaining the appearance of a normally completed residential cleaning. Maid My Week does not guarantee ordinary cleaning results while contractors, tradespeople, construction crews, installers, painters, or other workers are actively working in or around the property.

Unfinished cabinets, fixtures, flooring, countertops, appliances, walls, trim, or other surfaces may not be suitable for normal cleaning and may be excluded from service when cleaning could reasonably cause damage.

Construction debris, paint, adhesives, grout, caulk, cement, drywall compound or dust, sawdust, stickers, protective films, hazardous materials, and other construction-related substances are outside the scope of standard residential cleaning unless specifically included in the Customer's estimate.

Requests to wash, organize, unpack, or put away dishes, cookware, utensils, household goods, construction materials, or other personal property are outside the scope of standard cleaning unless specifically included in the approved estimate.

If construction or other ongoing work materially interferes with our ability to perform the scheduled cleaning, Maid My Week may limit the service to areas that can reasonably and safely be cleaned, modify the scope or price, reschedule the service, or discontinue the cleaning. The presence of ongoing construction or other conditions outside Maid My Week's control does not eliminate the Customer's obligation to pay for cleaning services and labor actually performed.

11. Valuables and Fragile Property

Customers are asked to secure cash, jewelry, firearms, medications, important documents, collectibles, heirlooms, and other valuable or irreplaceable property before cleaning begins. Fragile or unstable items should also be secured or identified to us before service.

Maid My Week is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing damage, hidden defects, improperly installed fixtures, unstable furniture or objects, ordinary wear and tear, deterioration, age, manufacturer defects, or items that were already damaged or improperly secured.

12. Breakage and Damage Claims

Maid My Week takes reasonable care while performing cleaning services. Customers must notify us of any claimed damage or breakage within 24 hours of service and provide photographs or other reasonable documentation upon request.

Maid My Week must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the item and determine an appropriate resolution. At our option, resolution may include repair, replacement with a reasonably comparable item, reimbursement of the item's reasonable current value, or another mutually acceptable remedy.

13. Satisfaction Guarantee

If an area included within the agreed scope of cleaning was missed or was not cleaned satisfactorily, please notify Maid My Week within 24 hours following completion of the service.

We will review the concern and, when appropriate, return to correct the affected area at no additional charge. The satisfaction guarantee is intended to provide an opportunity to correct the service and does not automatically entitle the Customer to a refund when Maid My Week has been given a reasonable opportunity to address the concern.

14. Unsafe or Unsanitary Conditions

Maid My Week reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, limit, or reschedule service when our team reasonably believes conditions are unsafe.

Unsafe conditions may include aggressive animals, unsecured weapons, dangerous chemicals, excessive biohazards, human or animal waste beyond ordinary residential cleaning, active pest infestations, unsafe electrical conditions, structural hazards, illegal activity, threatening behavior, or other circumstances that could reasonably endanger our personnel.

If service cannot be performed because of conditions that were not disclosed in advance, cancellation or service charges may apply.

15. Pets

Customers must disclose pets that will be present during service and are responsible for securing any animal that may interfere with cleaning or present a safety concern.

Maid My Week may decline to enter or may discontinue service if an animal appears aggressive or otherwise presents a reasonable safety risk. Customers are responsible for ensuring pets remain safely contained. Maid My Week is not responsible for a pet escaping unless the escape is directly caused by our negligence.

16. Cleaning Products, Equipment and Surfaces

Maid My Week generally provides the cleaning supplies and equipment necessary for standard residential cleaning unless other arrangements have been made.

Customers are responsible for notifying us in advance of unusual, delicate, specialty, recently installed, custom, antique, or otherwise sensitive surfaces requiring particular products or procedures.

We are not responsible for damage caused by undisclosed manufacturer restrictions, defective materials, improper installation, pre-existing deterioration, or surfaces that cannot withstand ordinary cleaning methods.

17. Equipment Failure or Other Service Interruption

Maid My Week makes reasonable efforts to maintain the cleaning equipment necessary to perform scheduled services. Occasionally, equipment may malfunction or become unusable during a cleaning.

If an equipment or mechanical failure prevents our team from completing a material portion of the agreed cleaning service, we will make reasonable efforts to complete the affected work using available equipment or alternative methods.

If the affected work cannot reasonably be completed during the scheduled visit, Maid My Week may return within a reasonable period to complete the portion of the service that could not be performed because of the equipment failure, at no additional charge to the Customer.

An equipment failure does not entitle the Customer to a refund for portions of the cleaning service that were properly completed. Maid My Week's obligation will be limited to reasonably completing or correcting the portion of the agreed service directly affected by the equipment failure.

If service is interrupted by loss of electricity, water, safe access, or another condition at the property outside Maid My Week's reasonable control, we may complete what can reasonably be performed, reschedule the affected portion, or adjust the service as appropriate.

18. Photographs and Service Documentation

Maid My Week may photograph or otherwise document areas of a property when reasonably necessary to record pre-existing conditions, unusual conditions, damage, excessive dirt or debris, incomplete construction, completed work, or a customer-service concern.

Such documentation may be maintained as part of the service record and may be used to investigate complaints, resolve billing disputes, respond to payment disputes or chargebacks, or protect the legitimate interests of Maid My Week and the Customer.

Photographs identifying a Customer's private residence will not be used publicly for advertising or promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maid My Week's liability arising from a particular cleaning service is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the service giving rise to the claim.

Maid My Week will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost income, lost profits, or similar damages resulting from a cleaning service.

20. Events Beyond Our Control

Maid My Week will not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform services caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, governmental restrictions, road closures, utility failures, emergencies, illness, transportation problems, or similar events.

When possible, we will work with the Customer to reschedule affected services.

21. Communications

Customers may receive service-related communications by telephone, text message, email, website chat, Client Hub notifications, or other electronic means. These communications may include appointment confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, estimates, invoices, payment notices, and information reasonably related to the Customer's services.

Maid My Week may use automated systems or a virtual assistant to assist with scheduling, common questions, account information, and customer service. Requests requiring management approval may be forwarded to a member of our team.

22. Client Hub and Electronic Transactions

Maid My Week may provide Customers with access to a secure Client Hub. The Client Hub may be used to review and approve estimates, electronically sign documents, make payments, store payment information, review service history, request appointments, and manage account information.

Electronic approvals, signatures, acknowledgments, and transactions have the same effect as their paper equivalents to the extent permitted by applicable law.

23. Privacy Policy

Maid My Week's collection and use of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy published on our website. The Privacy Policy is maintained separately from these Terms & Conditions.

24. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Maid My Week reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, inappropriate, or unsafe conduct directed toward our personnel or representatives.

We may also discontinue a customer relationship for repeated nonpayment, repeated lockouts or late cancellations, unsafe working conditions, or other substantial violations of these Terms & Conditions.

25. Changes to Services or Pricing

Maid My Week may periodically change service offerings, policies, or prices. Changes to recurring-service pricing will generally be communicated before they take effect.

Changes necessitated by a change in property condition, service frequency, scope of work, or requested services may take effect when those circumstances occur.

26. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and all services provided by Maid My Week are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

27. Dispute Resolution and Venue

If a concern or disagreement arises, the Customer and Maid My Week agree to first make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the matter directly.

If legal proceedings become necessary, venue shall be in Charleston County, South Carolina, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

29. No Waiver

If Maid My Week elects not to enforce a provision of these Terms & Conditions on one occasion, that decision does not waive our right to enforce the provision on a future occasion.

30. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the Customer's approved estimate, service description, and any written amendments or addenda, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Maid My Week regarding the cleaning services being provided and supersede prior oral discussions or representations regarding the subject matter of the service.

31. Acceptance of Terms

By approving an estimate, electronically accepting these Terms & Conditions, scheduling service, paying a deposit, providing a payment method, or permitting Maid My Week to begin cleaning services, the Customer acknowledges that the Customer has reviewed and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
